My second sketch for today. Turns out drawing your second car is much easier than your first.

A few weeks ago I ran into a car show outside Mitre10 on the Kapiti Coast. I took a large number of photos for possible art projects, and today one of those has been completed.

I also ordered a number of presentation folders but stuffed up the order: instead of getting folders for 8x10 artworks, they are 8x10 but only have a 5x7 window. Great for photos but tricky for an artist. So my challenge was to draw this really cool Chev but make it small enough to fit the presentation folder.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is an iconic American classic car. As the pinnacle of the "Tri-Five" series (1955–1957), it featured jet-age styling, distinct rear tail fins, and gold anodized trim. Original prices ranged from roughly $2,173 to $2,900.
