Reminiscing this morning of my father’s Daimler 2.5 litre V8 saloon. At 15 years old I managed to get him home in this car he loved after he realised he had a little too much.

‘1963 Daimler Saloon’

In 1963, Daimler offered two distinct luxury saloons: the compact, highly popular Daimler 2.5-Litre V8 Saloon (later known as the V8 250) and the much larger, ultra-luxury Daimler Majestic Major (DQ450).

The defining characteristic of both cars was that they featured Daimler's own legendary hemispherical V8 engines—designed by Edward Turner—installed inside body styles shared with or evolved during the Jaguar takeover era.
