Butterflies

Today’s rough sketch of a watercolour collection I am planning to create.

The collection will be four watercolours of Monarch Butterflies. I will paint all three individually then really stretch my self and try to paint them all together with a background of swamp plants etc for the final piece.

Ideas that come to me at 3 am don’t always work out but do inspire me.

The background will be soft so the butterflies stand out. I also need to do an acrylic butterfly for a commission, so I need to really get this right.
No stress.

I am also working on my next seabird later today but that along with my dragon will most likely be completed over the weekend.

Thrilled to get first sample of a print of my Mothers Lo’s Love (Mummy Lioness and Cubs) today. Will explore with provider regarding how we set this up so I can let people who want them order direct.

Well back to those butterflies.
