1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
A few weeks ago I ran into a car show outside Mitre10 on the Kapiti Coast. I took a large number of photos for possible art projects, and today one of those has been completed.
I also ordered a number of presentation folders but stuffed up the order: instead of getting folders for 8x10 artworks, they are 8x10 but only have a 5x7 window. Great for photos but tricky for an artist. So my challenge was to draw this really cool Chev but make it small enough to fit the presentation folder.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is an iconic American classic car. As the pinnacle of the "Tri-Five" series (1955–1957), it featured jet-age styling, distinct rear tail fins, and gold anodized trim. Original prices ranged from roughly $2,173 to $2,900.

Located at 2 Bunny Street, Pipitea, serves as the primary public transport hub for New Zealand's capital city. As the busiest rail terminus in the country, it serves as the southern gateway for the North Island Main Trunk line, linking urban commuters and long-distance travellers alike.

AC Cobra
The AC Cobra is a famous British-American sports car created by putting a powerful Ford V8 engine into a lightweight AC Ace frame. Designed with driver Carroll Shelby in the 1960s, it became a fast racing legend and one of the most copied cars ever made.

The Snapper
This sketch was drawn for my close friend and ex-brother-in-law. Michael is a keen fisherman and Snapper is one of his favourite species to catch and eat.

The 1959 Chevrolet Corvette is a first-generation (C1) classic American sports car with a 283 cubic-inch V8 engine. It had an original base price of $3,875 and a production run of 9,670 units. It featured cleaner body styling than the 1958 model, stripping away hood louvres and trunk spears

Band Rotunda, Wellington NZ
The Oriental Bay Band Rotunda (also known as the Wellington Pavilion) is a historic landmark located prominently at 245 Oriental Parade along the waterfront. Built originally in 1937 as a nautical, Art Deco-style bathing pavilion, the structure has long been a visual anchor for Wellington's "Riviera". It is currently undergoing a massive multimillion-dollar earthquake strengthening and redevelopment project

VW Golf GTI
The Volkswagen Golf Mk1 GTI, launched in 1976, is widely celebrated as the car that popularized the "hot hatch". Weighing only about 840–860 kg, it paired a lightweight, practical body penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro with a punchy fuel-injected engine to deliver zippy, nimble performance.
